Last year, I wrote about why we need to stay humble. This post takes this statement a bit further. I learned over time that the best way to become a better version of yourself to accept that you know nothing, stay humble and keep working hard.
It goes without saying that this is the case for anyone who’s trying to make it in fashion. Especially if you’re new to this industry, eating lots of humble pie and working hard to prove yourself is the recipe to success.
Are you looking to collaborate with that brand you love? Go give them a follow, and keep engaging with them without expecting anything in return. Do you want to work with that blogger you admire? Make sure you’re up to date with their blog posts and follow/engage with them on social media. But most importantly, put out good work out there, so they notice you.
And repeat one more time, every day: work hard and be nice.
denim on denim
For my first real summer in NYC, I’ve been defaulting to lots of denim on denim looks. Because who doesn’t love lace up denim shorts with an off the shoulder denim top?
Special thanks to Henrietta for the photos.
