What are your current most favorite items to wear in your closet? I have definitely grown to embrace this utilitarian yet edgy style; which made me start collecting a fair number of sneakers and distressed jeans (yes, this trend isn’t going anywhere!)
Reasons why I love this style:
1. I love to walk and want to keep my feet healthy, so comfy sneakers are my daily go-to instead of heels
2. The whole style fits perfectly with my practical/always on the go yet design centric lifestyle
3. I’ve always been a tomboy at heart and feel more like myself in masculine clothes

The every day shoe:
Sneakers: Sneakers have become ubiquitous in high fashion and street wear, and the 90’s inspired minimalist trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The beauty of this trend is there’s a type of sneakers for everyone! My current favorites are these Joie leopard babies. However, there are a lot more basic options like Adidas Originals or Nike Air Max 1 too.
Clothing:
Distressed jeans: Can’t get enough off of distressed jeans. It gives just enough edginess into my daily style. They can be styled with sneakers to give a more casual vibe or dressed up with heels for a night out in town. I’ve become a serious Rag & Bone junkie but here are some alternative/less edgy suggestions: Topshop, Rag & Bone and Siwy.
Oversized blouse: I can’t tell you how many oversized blouses I have in my closet. They create the perfect casual look with jeans/leggings/shorts and are so versatile! You know the drill (shop them here and here).
Accessories:
A simple watch: When I saw this Larsson & Jennings watch for the first time, I fell in love with its minimal design and fashion conscious style. The Milanese strap was also an added bonus. This beauty goes well with my engagement ring as well as most items in my closet; which was an important decision maker for me. Alternative here.
Bag: This Proenza Schouler PS11 bag has become a favorite for me. Yes, it is an investment piece, but the size is perfect to fit your wallet, iPhone, small notebook and sunglasses! It goes well with all my outfits though I feel bad wearing it on a daily basis and tend to baby it a lot. Alternative here.
