a day at the library

Hello from San Francisco Public Library!

Excited to do my first post since the blog has been down for awhile. I’ve been non stop working on redesigning the new site and took a brief break from blogging. Hope you enjoy Fashion Mews 2.0! It still has a lot of work, but this will do for now.

Thoughts? Comments? I’d love to hear from you!

On to the post: I’ve been wanting to read more and thanks to a tip from my bestie Naz, we finally checked out the SFPL last week. Let me remind you, getting a library card is FREE and you can check up to 50 items. It’s quite the deal if you ask me!

For this look, I wanted to be super casual yet “library chic”. I styled my new Everlane shirt (which is super comfy btw) with my favorite J Brand jeans. Lastly, I finished the look with Ken Chen coat and McQueen scarf as it’s been pretty chilly in SF lately.

Shirt: Everlane // Jeans: J Brand // Scarf: Alexander McQueen (old) // Coat: Ken Chen (old) // Shoes: Adidas // Bag: Proenza Schouler

Thank you for reading!

xx Melis

  1. I’ll definitely have to check out the library here – my roommate is always boasting about how much she loves going, especially since it’s 1. free and 2. you can checkout that many books!

It seems like it has some great architecture as well, which is always a plus!

    • Absolutely, highly recommend! 🙂 Side bonus: they had a really cool mini exhibit at the top floor on Middle Eastern/Arabic Literature as well. There were some poems by Rumi and other famous poets from the area. You’d def enjoy it! xx Melis

  2. Your site looks great babe! It’s making me so excited for mine to be done!! Love how you styled this outfit for the library…I’m such a nerd and loveeeee a good book store and/or library. Have a great weekend! xoxo
