Wow I can’t believe it’s been a year since we moved to NYC!
While I love California and the good vibes, NYC has a special place in my heart. Living in the city, and Lower East Side has given us endless amounts of inspiration to create content for Fashion Mews. Coffee shops of course are a big part of our adventures.
To celebrate, we wanted to create the most inspiring coffee shops of NYC we’ve explored over the past year. You can also find our most favorite coffee shops of SF here.
favorite NYC coffee shops

1. Ludlow Coffee Supply (LES)
We’re sad-happy that Ludlow Coffee Supply has been getting its fair share of neighbor/blogger love, but the team there are all positive vibes. Plus, bonus points for getting Nas as an investor with their sister restaurant Sweet Chick (which Caviar works with, btw!).

2. Cup & Cup (Koreatown)
It’s probably one of the best low-key Korean-inspo coffee places in NYC. Can anyone else share a similar concept here with Korean cuisine and incredible coffee art?

3. Toby’s Estate Coffee (West Village)
We really need to check out their private brew lessons, but we just skip the lines at Bluestone Lane and head over here for some incredible coffee. Bonus, Dominique Ansel Kitchen is just across the street in case it’s cheat day.

4. River Coyote (LES)
Melis stumbled upon this spot, and it was already filled with locals. Even in the afternoon, the coffee/wine concept paired w/ tasty snacks felt like an Euro cafe. It’s a great place to hideaway with the laptop and lose track of the day.

5. Three Seat Espresso & Barber (East Village)
I have to say, every time a well reviewed barber shop pops up, chances are it’s in EV. Furthermore, I have no complaints with this coffee/barbershop trend. Come for the marble tops, stay for a cut.

6. Cafe Integral (Nolita)
This is simply such a picturesque shop before you even step into the place. By the time you’re trying one of their pour-overs, you’re Kool-Aiding about the quality of Nicaguarian coffees. AND WOW I just spelled “Nicaguarian” correctly on the first type.

7. El Rey Coffee Bar & Luncheonette (LES)
One simply cannot talk about LES without El Rey and their freaking unbelievable lines that hound their sister ice cream shop, Morgenstern’s Finest Ice. Melis loves their food, especially the Avocado Del Sur.

All of these places look great, I’ve been to NY before a few times but one of my favourite things about the place is that no matter how many times you go there always seems to be more to find (…and eat).

Can I suggest one of my favorites? PROOF Coffee Roasters has an adorable grab-n-go location in the Financial District and a sit down location on 27th and 1st. They have the BEST coffee in NYC, hands down, and the baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
