It’s been awhile since I had a chance to do a personal post. As I pass my one-and-a-half year mark since Fashion Mews started, I find myself feeling that I learned a lot, yet I still know so little. And to be honest, this time period has also been really intense, leaving very little time for me to spend with hubby, our cat Ram Ram, family and close friends. So of course I had to get really good at prioritization, which is work in progress.
I also receive a lot of questions every day, such as how do I evolve my blog, or what camera do you use (Abel wrote a post about cameras here and iPhone photography here), or how do I grow faster? I’m sorry I can’t respond to every single question. BUT if you dig into our entrepreneurship articles, it actually responds to a lot of your questions. 🙂
There’s one burning question that has a special place in my heart. I tried to answer it briefly during a Q&A post, but I feel like it deserves its own post. Why I started blogging in the first place?
It’s so simple.. Nail art (!?). Yes, I always had a special place for fashion, and dreamt of having my own business, but starting a blog was always a distant idea. The moment I fell in love with nail art and the creative process of coming up with new designs every month, it all started to click for me. Another happy coincidence was realizing both hubby and I share love for photography, and we used to go on photo walks together just for fun.
While my background may scream nerd at heart (computer science and startups), my creative side couldn’t hold it in anymore. And now Fashion Mews became an extension of our lives, style, and what we are currently talking about which includes mindfulness, entrepreneurship, and even photography. While the blog isn’t in its final form yet, we are so thankful to have you as our supporters. Stay tuned for more updates soon! xx
Inspo from this week: all i dream about is work that moves your soul.

I started off with Nail Art too! I soon realised that although I love nail art, my life as a art student means that having perfect nails isn’t the most practical thing. I love this shirt on you too, such a stunning look!
